Doing something new

OK I'm excited and a bit anxious about this.
I'm starting a group at our Senior Center called Healthy Lifestyles!
This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.
The focus will be on better food choices & getting the body moving.
The group will have it's first meeting on the first Wednesday of June.
I have lots to share and want to learn more from others.

Finally at my goal weight!

It's been quite awhile since I've posted anything.
My weight is now 142 and that's as far as I want to go.
Otherwise my face will get too thin - don't need to do any unneeded aging!

The first one is me and my birth daughter Sandy & her daughter Haille.
The second is  me, Sandy & Haille.
This was such a great experience to share in.
I'm going to do another blog post about successes and trials with weight loss.

Doing Great!

Yep I'm still having success with my weight loss.
From 182 lbs to 142 - yes!
My program is definitely a work in progress.
Regular tweaking of my workouts and food.
Now I'm learning more about plant based protein.
Needless to say I'm quite pleased!

Update time

I sure do not post here very often.
Still doing well in spite of some high stress things going now.
My weight is now 145 - much better than 182!
Supposedly my ideal weight is 120 but I don't know.
That's a loss of 25 more lbs and I think that's too much.
OK that's all.

Playing in the kitchen

I want to try more whole grains.
Tonight I ate my first quinoa!
This is a whole grain that I mixed with chicken, black beans, tomatoes and salsa.
And it was so good!
Quinoa  you can use in the same way you would rice.
Next grain will be kasha.
These whole grains are so nutritious for us yet a lot of people never try them.

An update

OK I'm still doing well.
Watching my food intake and regular cardio workouts.
This past week I'm seemed to plateau - which would not be unusual.
Been bouncing around - 151 to 153.
I want to see the 140's!
One thing I can do is watch my night grazing.
I've been getting into the cereal - 2 to 3 bowls.
The past two nights I've done much better.
Also have been slacking off on the water.
I've now gone to two Zumba classes!
They're lots of fun but takes some time to learn.
I'm going to hang in there!

OK moving on!

Geez I've had so much stress this past month.
Replaced my computer today & that's helped a lot.
And I'm still doing great with my workouts and diet.
I've lost almost 30 lbs - Yippee!
